Vice President of Business Development
Melissa Johnson is the Vice President of Business Development at ComforceHealth. In this role, she is responsible for performance management of the sales team as well as development and execution of strategic sales plans, target strategies, and account assignment. She monitors customer, market, and competitor activity and also works closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel, and partner programs.
Melissa has 14 years of progressively responsible experience in business development, 9 of which has been spent specifically centered around being a trusted partner and advisor to healthcare organizations in the areas of HIM and the Revenue Cycle.
Prior to joining the ComforceHealth team, Melissa was the Vice President of Strategic Business Development at himagine solutions where her responsibilities included securing major new business and developing large, high‐profile strategic accounts. Before himagine solutions, Melissa was a Regional Sales Vice President, Southeast, at Precyse.
Melissa has successfully developed more than 50 enterprise‐wide health system partnerships with high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of South Florida and is a member FHIMA, HFMA, and the Western Florida Chapter of ACHE.
Kristy Evans, RHIT, CCS, CPC, AHIMA Approved
Kristy Evans is the Vice President of Operations for ComforceHealth. In this role, she is responsible for all operations within ComforceHealth, including the internal and external auditing practice, and enhancing the CDI line of business.
Kristy has more than 18 years of HIM experience both in the Facility and Professional Fee arenas. She is an expert in auditing, coding, education, as well as CDI. Kristy has held positions both on the vendor side, facility, and physician pro-fee environments. Prior to joining the ComforceHealth team, Kristy was a Client Services Director with a competitor, where she worked with both onshore and offshore delivery teams to ensure performance outcomes, often providing technical and subject matter expertise. Kristy was responsible for the successful implementation of revenue cycle projects. She was also the leader of a competitor’s Coding and Clinical Documentation national training content. Kristy has served as a Corporate Coding Manager managing coding teams, CDI nurses and auditing staff. Her experience put her in front of physicians, CFO’s, VPs of Revenue Cycle, Clinicians, Directors, etc.
Kristy is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer with a proven track record of success in teaching adult learners. She has educated new coders to obtain their credential, provided continuing education coders and CDI professionals, payers, as well physicians and other clinicians. Kristy’s passion and commitment to the field can be seen in her professional and academic accomplishments and credentials, which include an Associates of Applied Science degree in Health Information Technology from Darton College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She has obtained her AHIMA RHIT and CCS credential, along with the AAPC CPC credential.
Renii Modisette, DHEd, RHGIT, CCS, CDIP
Director, Education Services
Renii Modisette is the Director of Education Services at ComforceHealth.
In this role, she is responsible for education strategies providing a
transformative learning platform to both domestic and global teams.
Renii has more than 20 years’ experience in professional development curriculum, leadership roles, coding, and HIM services. Renii has taken a different approach to adult
learning by applying principles of self-discovery through individual SWOT analysis to help the HIM professional enhance their area of expertise. Prior to joining the ComforceHealth team, Renii was the Corporate Director of HIM and Coding at Chapters Health System. She was also the Director of Education at a competitor where she was responsible for developing and implementing the robust annual Education Platforms, designing and creating the curriculums for 27+ courses, and strategic planning and forecasting.
Renii is an AHIMA-approved ICD-10 Trainer with a proven track record of success in teaching adult learners.
Renii’s passion and commitment to lifelong learning can be seen in her professional and academic
accomplishments and credentials, which include an Associates of Applied Science degree in Health Information
Technology from Indiana University NW, a Master’s of Health Administration degree from A.T.
Still University, and a Doctorate of
Healthcare Education degree, also from A.T. Still University.
Renii is a co-author to “Navigating ICD 10 Coding,” published by Paradigm Education. Renii serves as a volunteer with the AHIMA PCAP Committee as a reviewer of coding curriculum for accredited programs or programs seeking accreditation. She was a delegate of the Missouri Health Information Management Association and an AHIMA mentor.
